TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR TECS
Part 1: Funding Support for Employers
Organisations are not required to submit any Training Grant Application. TECS will liaise directly with SSG through their TPGateway System to determine training grant eligibility of the participants.
- SME Declaration
For Organisations who are would like to claim under SME Funding, do ensure that your organisation have already submited and have your application approved. Click on the link below for the SME application guide.
- Absentee Payroll Application
For the Absentee Payroll Application process, upon successful enrolment by TECS in SSG's TPGateway System, the sponsoring organisation will receive an email to submit required information in the EPJS portal.
- Training Grant
For approval of traning grant, participants are required to achieve a minimum of 75% attendance, passed the required assessment, and the sponsoring organisation have to make payment to TECS within 60 days after the course end date. Participants are also required to be under the direct payroll of the sponsoring organisation. We will not be liable for any rejection of traning grant if any of the requirement is not fulfilled. In the event of training grant rejection due to non-fulfillment of the above conditions, we will invoice the rejected training grant amount back to the sponsoring organisation.

Part 2: Sending of Relevant Supporting Document(s)
To ensure that the participant meets the pre-requisite for the course, please attach the following supporting document(s) to complete the registration process:
- Highest Qualification.
- Additional supporing documents required for Occupational First Aid Refresher Course:
a. Current valid Occupational First Aid Card/ Certificate
- Additional supporing documents required for WSQ Perform Confined Space Rescue course:
a. WSQ Perform Work in Confined Space Operation certificate or equivalent, or
b. WSQ Supervise Work in Confined Space Operation certificate or equivalent, or
c. WSQ Assess Confined Space for Safe Entry and Work or equivalent.

Part 3: Payment Details
Please only make payment once you received the invoice from us. Please be informed that payment have to be made within 60 days from course end date for approval of training grant. Payment can be made by the following methods:

Part 4: Health Declaration Form
The following medical screening procedure applies to:
WSQ Respond to Fire & Hazmat Emergency & WSQ Respond to Fire Emergency in Buildings only
- Participant(s) to complete Medical Form A.
a. If ALL questions answered “NO”, participant(s) can proceed with course registration with TECS;
b. If any questions answered “YES”, participant(s) shall consult Doctor with Medical Form A, Form B & Form C.
- Doctor shall certify Participant(s) medically fit OR unfit to attend the course using Medical Form C;
a. If certified fit by Doctor, Participant can proceed to register and forward the signed Medical Form(s) to TECS;
b. If certified unfit by Doctor, Participant should NOT register or attend the course.

Part 5: Important Information
- Confirmation Email with the course details, location map, attire, etc will be sent to you latest 2 weeks prior to the course commencement date.
- e-Certificates will be awarded to successful participants for WSQ Courses. Participants can download their e-certificates 3 weeks after the course end date through www.myskillsfuture.gov.sg using their SingPass.
- Participants without SingPass and sponsoring organisations can request a softcopy of the e-certificates by emailing to us at registrations@tecs-firensafety.com.sg.
- For Non-WSQ Courses, hardcopy certificates and cards will be ready for collection 1 month after the course start date.

Part 6: Declaration and Terms & Conditions
- By agreeing to the Terms & Conditions, it is declared that all the information given in this application is true and correct and it is understood that misrepresentation or omission is sufficient grounds for rejection of the application or withdrawal of any place which may be offered and that this withdrawal may take place at any stage during the course undertaken. It is authorized any investigation of the above information for the purpose of verification. It is understood and accept the terms and conditions, rules and regulations of the program set by TECS.
- SSG Training Grant
For company-sponsored applicants, the company will pay the Nett Course Fee to TECS provided the following criteria are fulfilled.
-Training is fully sponsored by the company, which is registered or incorporated in Singapore.
- Sponsored employee must be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident and attend both training and final assessment (FA) and achieve a minimum of 75% attendance.
- For companies who would like to claim for SME Funding, they are responsible to submit the SME Status in the EPJS system. TECS is not liable for any rejection of SME Funding due to non-registration of SME Status in the system.
- TECS is not liable if applicant fails to meet at least 75% attendance, does not complete the assessment, or for any other reason where Course Fee Support/ Absentee Payroll funding is not submitted or approved. In the scenario that the Training Grant Application is not submitted or unsuccessful, the sponsoring Company is liable to pay to TECS the Training Grant portion.
- Absentee Payroll funding is applicable to company sponsored applications. The company is responsible to submit the required details to the EPJS system to complete the Absentee Payroll funding application.
- Personal Data Protection
By submitting information to us, you agree and consent to TECS Fire & Safety Training Pte Ltd (including its related business units) (collectively, the "Companies"), as well as their respective representatives and/or agents (“Representatives”) (the Companies and Representatives collectively referred to herein as "TECS", "us", "we" or "our") collecting, using, disclosing and sharing amongst themselves my Personal Data, and disclosing such Personal Data to the Companies' authorised service providers and relevant third parties in the manner set forth in its Data Protection Policy.
- Course Pre-Requisites
Those who wish to register and participate in our training courses must meet the minimum requirements or pre-requisites laid out for each of the training course. By registering or participating in the training courses, you hereby declare that you have met the minimum requirements. If you do not qualify or do not agree to these terms, TECS Fire & Safety Training Pte Ltd reserve the right to not allow you to be enrolled or continue with the training course.
- Refund Policy
Should withdrawal from a registered course occurs, TECS Fire & Safety Training Pte Ltd shall refund the trainee the amount (less any applicable bank administrative charges properly paid / payable) as per below stipulated within 30 days upon receiving the trainee’s written notice of withdrawal.
